Teams of 2:
Come with a partner and a team name. Put teammate's name in your evite comments. If you need a partner, mention that in the comments and maybe you'll find one.
Cost:
$10 a person. Money covers a pizza dinner. Money left over will be used as prizes (see below).
What to Bring:
Each team is asked to bring an hors d'oeuvre, bag of chips or other bar snack for everyone to eat. Murphy's will have regular drink specials available.
The Competition:
-Compete in 3 sports: Darts, Pool and Foosball
-Play every team in every sport once (each game worth 1 point)
-NEW: The top six (6) teams will compete in a final tournament. The final tournament will consist of 3 rounds.
How the Tournament Works:
Round one: Team 3 vs. Team 6; Team 4 vs. Team 5; Top two (2) regular season teams will receive byes.
Round two: Team 1 vs. Lowest Remaining Seed; Team 2 against Highest Remaining Seed.
Round three: Final two (2) teams play for championship trophy.
How the Playoff Games Work:
Each "playoff game" will be a competition in one sport. Team with the better regular-season record (the home team) gets to choose the sport (better regular-season record = advantage).
Prize:
50/50 split of after-pizza money between regular-season winners and tournament winners. Tournament winner also gets the Heineken trophy.
